Celtic Twist Elm Burr Ballpoint Pen

This wooden Celtic twist pen is one I handmade from a beautiful piece of  Elm Burr wood. It is rare to find wood with such distinctive colour & grain pattern, it is absolutely stunning. There were some small cracks and shakes in this piece of wood, to highlight this natural movement, the voids have been filled in with copper specks.   The pen has been individually hand made and finished with several coats of protective waxes and lacquer. 

The Celtic Pens are Chunkier than standard ballpoint pens, they are especially ideal for those who struggle to hold a pen due to arthritis and other hand conditions.

The pen features Antique Brass components with intricate Celtic Knot scroll work on the tip, clip and finial end as well as an emerald colour cabochon on the end.  
A gentle twist on the pen end will extend the writing tip, and  a reverse twist to draw the nib back  in.

Changing the the ink refill is done by simply unscrewing the pen tip end and changing the Parker style refill.
